Ever since my elder brother left home to study in KL 7 years ago, my home seems like jigsaw puzzle missing out some of the puzzles. For that 5 years of his studies in KL, i remembered almost every Christmas, he celebrates at KL with his friends, and my whole family will fly over to KL during Chinese New Year to be with him. A year after he left home, me too came over to KL for further studies. So, everytime there's celebration such as the Mother's or Father's day, or the Mid-Autumn Festival, or just the reunion night in December, for sure there's someone 'missing in action', haha. Surely my family will have dinner out to celebrate, and everytime we're on the way to the restaurant, dad will call brother and me, never missed. After dinner, dad will call again, to make sure we're alright. And whenever the whole family is together, celebrating one of the celebration, mom would say 'As long as the whole family is together, everyday is worth celebrating'.Both brother and I graduated the same year last year, he's now a doctor back at home, while me, continued studying here in KL. Glad that he's back there, at least, someone to take care of everyone back at home. And tomorrow's Mother's Day. While me busy with exam preparation, i did text both my elder and younger brother, to get flowers for my mom. Yeah. both replied. "yaya... i've got it. Carnation. 70 bucks." This year, i'm not going back home to celebrate Mother's day. Last year i did......Last Year, I flew back on Mother's day without mom knowing. Dad was in Thailand at that time and flew back that evening. Without mom and dad knowing, i got a ticket and flew back that Sunday morning and had my brother picked me up. He lied at mom (yes.. mom was so surprised, that brother learnt how to lie...haha! sorry mom!) yes... he lied at mom that dad has changed his flight to morning flight and need to pick him up half way the service in church. So, brother got me and i thought we'll go straight to church to surprise mom. Yes, another surprise, brother stopped by at the florist, picked up the bouquet of flowers for mom and then only to church. We waited until the service at church ends, then only i went in to look for mom. but in adding to the surprise, brother said i have to bring along the bouquet and surprise mom. i was like... NOOOO!!! i don't like limelight as for sure everyone will look at me with the flowers. So.. we waited and waited outside the church, and right after the service ended, everyone's having their tea outside while my mom busy taking pictures inside the church. So.. i hugged the big flower, walked in the church slowly (everyone saw and a lot stopped me.. said the same thing 'whow.. you're back... looking for your mom huh.. and they pointed to me where she was). Mom was standing in front at the stage, and to her surprise, when i just entered, mom saw me and was stunt. Everyone saw, everyone was so touched. I walked to mom, gave her the flowers and said "happy mother's day". i can see mom was so so so surprised and the face expression told me that she was very happy. Yupp... later.. everyone walked to mom and told her how proud she can be having amazing kids like me and brothers.... haha.... *blush*
so.. that's the story... this year... i'm not worry much cause brother's back home. he will take care of everything. Like what mom always say, as long as the whole family's together, everyday is a day to celebrate. So..mom...
happy mother's day!
muaks!
May God bless you, love you,
watch over you and keep you!
shall get back to work... hehehe....
Mother's day.... A day to remember, a day to remind us of the blessings given,
that every other day, we learn to appreciate more about blessings upon us,
that we learn to be grateful when we hear mommy and daddy nag at us,
we learn to say sorry after a fight with our siblings,
learn about forgiveness after a misunderstanding with friend,
learn about the people who need a little more attention,
and even a little things, learn to be grateful for the person who stops the escalator for us,
or stop the door for us and wait till we pass through the door.
Every little thing counts and thank God for the blessings.
