Cell Dinner

As usual, we have our cell dinner again. and ya, steam boat again.

see that girl who smile nicely while everyone is eating.
Yea, that's Celest.
She noticed me taking picture and smile nicely waiting for me to snap. haha.

Well, the food is nice. Though i didn't eat much for i've eaten MacD some 2 hours ago. Was too hungry and couldn't wait for dinner, so, went for Mac D after we came back from Prima Selayang.

they all started eating while kiasu me and jon went to queue up for ice-cream.
waited for half an hour, though it's only some few people ahead us.
then only we realised that ONE person queue and took ice cream for the whole table...
there was a young lady, took ice-cream for everyone in her table and they were 7 of them, all guys. paiseh. guys, be gentleman a bit next time, will you?

from left, Joni, Celest, Joel and Jon.

Oh, so happy to have Yeng came and join us!

the guys. from left, Du Bao, Gerald, Andrew, Darrel and Yap.

me and yeng

Jon took so many scoop of ice cream,
different flavours and mix it together before eating. -_-'''

this is the consequences of greedy.
Yap took lots of chocolate flavour ice cream
and eat without paying attention.
then, a scoop of it dropped on his pants,
and it looked like.... u know... haha.....

We had a great time, just eating and fellowship. Well, and i heard, this morning, quite a few of us have to stay in the toilet extra time after eating so much yesterday :p

i had.. lots of ice creams more than food. hehe.

Out of Comfort Zone

How often that when we're troubled, we look at ourselves as if we have a BIG problem that we get so troubled by it. And just comparing and looking at the circle of people around us, often we don't know or realise how lucky we are.

Yesterday I have a chance to join the reach out program through my church, to a place where my church go in at least twice a week just to be with the people there. Heard lots of stories from other church members who had been in the programme since they started some months ago.

Broken family, broken home, financial problems and also domestic violence by the parents and all the problems that come along. Some barely can read, some never even attended school before. Some are slow in learning, some couldn't even mix around and just keep quite by their own.

I am not the person that will go out and reach out to the people out there who need help. Rather putting myself to the place that i barely know and meeting other people, i would prefer to help out without having to meet people. But don't know why, I actually looked forward, to join them yesterday.

It reminded me of that few times i went to the Drug rehab house to help out with washing dishes and vegetables during the weekends. One of the program by the church, feeding the people in Petaling Street. So, every Saturday, other than washing dishes and linger around with friends that went together, i get to talk with people in the rehab, just normal talk. Well, the 2 things that was warned by fellow leaders before going in were, don't dress tight shirts as the people there are grounded until they're done in the rehab and another thing is, don't mention anything about drugs.

Well, silly me, remembered the most, one of the guy said he miss drinking coffee so much. I then asked why can't u drink now. He mumbled a while then said, cause there's caffeine in coffee. I was like.. 'oh, uh.. okay..'.

Okay, back to Reach out program. Nothing much to be talked about but one thing for sure, I'm so proud of myself for joining the programme yesterday. At first it was very scary, as I'm not comfortable when I was placed in a new place. Low cost apartments, dark and look spooky to me. Was told that it was a gangster place, but still I just persevere and join into the group. But when i first meet the kids, they were so cute. Acting like adult, they came to us and offered a hand shake. Was blessed seeing them, seeing their smile.

We played games together with the kids. Played pictograph. One person from a group will act out what the other group had wrote on the paper. Well, when MeiLin and I went out to act, the kids said "Itu kakak sangat tinggi", while pointing at both of us. haha.

And ya, there was a group of chinese girls, 4 of them came later. All sat behind me, I turned to a little girl.

Me, "hey.. how old are you?"
Lil girl, "6 years old."

Me turned to my friend just next to me..."Wuah, she's 6 years old. 6 Times 3, equivalent to my age".
Friend, "How old are you?"
24.

Then i heard,
"huh, 6 times 3 is 18. How can it be 24??!!"
Then whispers and whispers.

The lil girl's sister, i think at the age of 12 asked....
"jie jie, how old are you?"
19!!!
"But huh, just now u say 24."

-__-|||

"Ya, i'm 24."

Sometimes it doesn't take much to put a smile on other face. I believe, just being there for others though you're tired, just reaching out to people, can bless others as well as ourselves. Where life without hope is depressing and disappointing, I know I'm secured with the Hope from Him.

God bless you readers!

Rant VII

It happen again.

I don't know why. I see it happening, again. Just in front of me, around me. Still, i refuse to believe it, I refused to accept the fact that, it was what people has been telling me. I still, look for an excuse for every little things that I refuse to believe. I.... still Hope.

There is a saying,

treat other people
like how u want them to treat you
- expectation

But take it contrastly with,

to give and take- no expectation

Do we expect when we give? Like people gives/donates to charity, with the heart of hoping that God will bless them back or with the heart that hoping that someone else will be blessed. But what about relationships. Friends or people in love chasing after the ones that they love. I think, the least we can do is, not asking anything for return, but at least, hoping for something to show that whatever we've done is appreciated. Yea, like a nod or a big smile, a big pat of encouragement or a hug of assurance.

but what about people who is receiving all the act of love. taking it for granted maybe. or having that perception of "hey, i didn't ask him to treat me this nice. It's a voluntary act.", or "yeah, he's being nice to me cause he need something from me.", or "i don't need him, why should i invest time/effort in him as a friend??!". Sel-fish maybe.

u may say too, relationship is about give and take. it is not calculative as how much u expect to get from what you've given out. but what if a relationship that caused detriment to another, and it feels like doing it out of obligation and not doing it out of love, as it seems like people is taking you for granted, as if u owe them huge buck.

I don't know. Everyday we start our day with a hope. Hope in seeing our loved ones, hope in getting something done, hope to achieve our goal or the day or or something that brings us closer to our goal. But when it comes to hope in a thing that seems to crush the little spirit of you each day, i guess, the hope in it will decrease each day, with the disappoinment and hope of giving up everyday increasing. hmm.... yea, disappointment will increase and hope will decrease, although that disappointment level is so up high but there's little voice inside hoping for something so that it can change the world to a little bit better place to stay.

But, how realistic it can be, the one who keep chasing after the other will start to be tired one day. As, there will be no forever that person keep chasing after the other. Not realistic, not selfish, but, people don't see why they need to continue to chase after the other. Sometimes, people not asking for a favour in return, sometimes appreciation is asked so that they can continue to pour out their love and investment on you either as friends or lovers/couple.

it's not dumping game they're in it now. it's because they cannot find any other way to love that person anymore, but to release that person out of their life. As no matter how much people try, no matter how much they chase after the other, if there's no appreciation, one day, they'll be tired. so, is there forever? patheticly, no. for i think, doing an act without a hope and passion means nothing.

well, at the end of the day, people will say, why do we put ourselves into so many troubles. why can't we just get on with life, move on. Each day, we put a little hope, but it seems like throwing salt into the sea... useless. Since no man is an island, everyone need someone. we're living in a community, that's why we need each other. Can someone say, "i don't need anyone?". What are we seeking each day? Approval or Sense of Belonging. As we stay in a community, we actually cannot run away from being with people, to bear with people and to stay with people. Do u think we can stay alone not needing friends/lovers? Or maybe just family and then jump to start a new family without having to rely/depend on friends. All we need is a boyfriend/girlfriend, a reliable one. Or maybe people just start to become harsh, harsh with life and people without the heart of compassion and love. As without love, hatred lives in people and people cannot stay with each other so often, after knowing of their weaknesses. So, is this coming to a conclusion that changing friends is a better solution? having a few of good/best friends stick to us but having to change circle of friends all the time from time to time after knowing or getting involved in problems in relationships?

So, stick to the 'give and take' principle or 'treat other people like how u want they to treat you'?

I may say, both are equally important. treat other people like how u want them to treat you and at the same time, if you're happy with giving, then give. One day if you're tired and sick of giving when there's no return, i say, there's no return, then stop giving. I don't think that person need your 'investment'. You can move on with other people that i believe, will appreciate you more and bless u in return. It isn't like i wanted a return, but seeing that person smile at me as note of appreciation, I am greatly blessed already in return.

I guess, i can only learn to appreciate the beautiful experience while sun set and i cannot stop the time when the view of the sun set is so nice that u wish that the time just stop there. And today's sun set will not be the same as yesterday and tomorrow's sun set, will not be the same as today. So, i can only say, don't cry for it but appreciate the beautiful moment that it will last in your mind.

PS: don't judge me by what you've just read in this short post, as it's not properly elaborate and you may interpret differently from what i've meant. i also dunno what am i toking about here...

Tata Young Live At Ruums Club

Anson got free passes to see Tata Young Live by MTV Asia. well, here we are, arrived there at 7pm. Waited for one and a half hour. She came out for half and hour. then that's it.

waited for an hour outside here...

so... what else to do other than talking among ourselves and listen to others' conversation.... cam whoring again!!!

man... hot isn't it? that one i'm not too sure, cause I kept looking at the dancer... too bad.. they moved too fast.. can't capture photos of them....
(thanks addy for the photo)

that's Utt, MTV VJ...

Overall, it was quite a nice experience. But didn't get to dance much. And went yum-cha with them. Then, went back home.

Check List

By the end of the day, as i'm almost restless, when I'm all alone, my mind think back of what had happen during the day time. The talk, the laugh, the joke, the word i've spoken, the action that I've done.

I was thinking again....

Have I done enough? Did I care for someone today? Or did I speak of words of care to that particular person that has a frown face? What will that person think of me now as I didn't get to talk to him/her just now? I didn't initiate myself enough to approach that person and catch up with her/his life.

Sometimes just in the position where you're catching up with a person and another person that u would like to catch up too is running away, and how i wish i have incredible hand that can extend as long as i can grab that person and let him/her know i want to talk to her/him.

I didn't get to smile at the person as act of assurance or agreement. I didn't get to talk to that person much just to say hi and catch up. I didn't get to do so much in a day.

And yea, you will say, it's my life and I don't have to do anything to please others. But the thing with expectation by and from others, I cannot leave it but to deal with it.

I really don't know how much is enough and how much is not enough.

If i didn't get to catch up with you, will u make the first step first, instead of waiting for me, please?

I know, I'm not... a superwoman.

Saw this on slipped in my car windscreen yesterday. *Sweet*

thanks girl, for being so sweet.

Update V

I dreamt about you last night.

I kept on thinking about you the whole day. Does that dream mean anything to me? People were saying, dream reflects the inner part of you in reality. I don't really care about dreams actually, will just talk about it or tell friends about it, later i will forget about it. but this one, the people, the event, the sequence, i still remember.

I thought i never care about you, but what happened in the dream really shocked me.

But what's the point if I ponder and think of it, consider and digest it. No point, at least, at this moment, at this chapter of life.

Hope you're good.

The Thing About Forever

I remember I wrote the word "Forever" the most is during final year in primary school, having to pass the autographs around and ended each autobiography of my own with the word "Friendship Forever". But how many of them that we still contact till now? I don't know about you all, but me, haha, hmm... Only 5 of us went to the same secondary school. The rest, I don't remember seeing them after primary school. And now as we grew up as an adult, or more likely to be adult, we often use that forever when we say 'I love you' to our lovers, oh, not forgotten we still say that to our parents and i know, that's for real. But, how pathetic is it, some might recall, some weeks ago or days ago our lover just uttered that "i love you forever" to us and now he/she asking for break up. Where is that forever?

Maybe there's no forever. Maybe forever means a period of time. Or forever means only for that particular chapter of life. After the relationship is over, new chapter begins. Hmmm.... A friend said, maybe forever isn't that long anymore.

But well, no offend to that word, or people that like to use that word. Actually, forever is still exist. It's only depends on how do you take it. Saw the uncle and aunty who can hardly walk so much, but still hold their hands and walk together in the park. Saw that just newly retired couple go tour around the world and still enjoy each others companion as much as a newly wed couple. Hmm.... this is not make up stories. These were what I saw during the last holiday.

The point is not about forever. It's about appreciation. No one knows what will happen tomorrow. No one can barely hold their future in their hands. No one can see what's their future. Only God knows. So, if there is no appreciation, what's the point of having forever.

Quote from Anson, Friendship is so fragile, so hard to start, but easy to lose. Just by looking at the scope of relationship as friends, is there really forever? But think of it the other way round, what is it about if we have 10 years of relationship as friend but never really was a friend before. And what about having a 10 months relationship but enjoy each others companion so much as it built true friendship. Which one sound much more forever to you? Thinking of that 10 months relationship that will last forever in your head though you didn't have chance to see that person again or that 10 years of relationship that you won't be able to describe your friendship more than 5 minutes?

So, what is it about having forever without enjoying it. What is Friendship really about? What makes the most out of a friendship? It's about the substance in that relationship, the memories that u have in that friendship that counts. We can see that particular person each day but have not friendship and not see the other person for months but yet think of him/her all the time. It's about appreciating each moment of together, it's about the time and effort that u invest of other people as friends.

You'll never know what will happen tomorrow, why not start appreciating each day. relationship is about give and take (i've said this so many times). Relationship cannot be solved or sum up like mathematics 1+ 1 = 2. There's not right or wrong, it's about forgiveness and love again. Maybe an easy contended person like me is not particular with matters and tend to appreciate things so easily. OR maybe, you've been taking things for granted. Taking your friends for granted, thinking that they won't run anywhere and will still stuck with you for a moment for some reason. Haha.

So, do u still believe in forever?

I do.

As friendship is that easy to lose, why not start appreciating moment you have. Count your blessings each day. You'll never know what happen tomorrow. As some incident happened a year ago, till now, i still remember. And I learnt, life is too short to hold grudges on people, live your life like u never before, abundantly and blessed.

Friends Forever.

Tomorrow we may lose a friendship. Tomorrrow u may find new friends or new gang to hang out with. Tomorrow u may leave this place where we still stuck with for some reason, move house, migrate, etcetcetc. Tomorrow u may burst out all your disatisfaction towards me and i can't find reason that we can go on walking our life path together. Tomorrow u may go to a different direction of life than me. WeLL, if it is what you want, if this is really what u want, i shall let u go, and bless you in your future undertakings. There's nothing to lose actually (to cut the process of crying and question why are u leaving, then fall down thinking some part of your life has been plug out and u can't move on, which later on, after quite sometime maybe then only u move on with your life), and I shall look forward to see u again someday, somewhere, some time later. And because of the friendship that we had once (hopefully it didn't ended up sour), it will be forever in my mind.

God Bless You AlwaYS,
and my Friend,
do appreciate what u have now,
and not taking it for granted.
And u may think now, that there's no such thing called Love in friendship,
but with the act of care,
just a lil small tiny thing that people do to you,
shows that lil LOVE that people have for you.
So, I love you.

6 years

I met her again after we didn't see each other for a year. The first hug was awkward. But minutes later, ice melted away and it felt like we were away from each other only for a few days.
It was 6 years ago I was introduced to her as my new roommie. I have to move out of the hostel as soon as possible (it was another crazy story staying inside for only 5 days). So then, we stayed together as roommates for 3 years till she went back to hometown for good.

When we met just 2 months ago, then only I realised, part of who I am today, is also because of her. Whow. it sounded like she's my parents or something important. Yea, she's the friend that i cherish a lot. Being an 18 years old kid that jsut came out of home, i certainly had a lot to learn and she was the one telling me and advicing me all the time. Thou i always make faces when she's lecturing me or pointing out my wrongdoings and etcetc, but one thing she always remind me is, She can actually walk away from me, and let me be whatever/whoever I am, but because she cares, that's why she tell/lecture/advice. Yeah.. thanks to her.. I've learnt a lot.

She still remembers my eating habit.. after 3 years she left for good. it's like.. whow.

Love you girl.

Love is in the air

Ya, supposedly i can be happy today. But i refrained myself. Hmm. Maybe u think i'm fake, but, some of the times, I cannot be myself, cause people is watching. So, what's the fuss that i care about how other people look at me??! Never mind.. the point is.. i caught the happy memories.. no... tracy's boyfriend took the picture... hehe...

looks familiar huh....

okay....

the owner of that property or that place, if it's no longer moving now.. meaning, it's time to fix it, i'm sure it's not caued by anson sitting on top of the front part of the car.. he's light. And u see, 3 girls squeezing in it, meaning we all are SLIM... :) If it happens that one of your customer sit in it and it's not moving at all after putting in money.. that means, that car is not meant for him/her.... he/she can play with the batman car just right in front.

wuahaha...

-_-|||

I had fun.

Update III

Suddenly I felt like writing my diary again. Yes, I keep diary, just to keep track to what had happen in my life, sweet especially and sour, bitter as well. The last entry was, 4th June 2006.
I guess i had too much fun till i don't have time to write my diary.

One thing that caught me was I wrote about a friendship that i had before, or what my sista called love-hate relationship. Funny, hate it but miss it. Why would I? I guess because I was lonely. Or it's just because i don't want to change, to comfortable with a lifestyle now that i'm lazy to change. Well, i thought I will take sometime to cope and move on with life. Who knows, the next entry was, ... met new friends and had lots of fun.

Maybe you read it as me being feeling-less, or a realistic person. But the thing is, after staying away from home for a quarter of my life, I've learnt to move on very fast. I need to learn, in order to be happy and survive. I don't want my smile, my laughter, depends on a particular friend only. It feels like possesive/clingy. But well, after staying here for so many years and graduated and study again, many many people came and we shared life together. After that, they left and I'm all alone again. I hate the repeating process of re-adjustment of life after one that i cling onto so much left me. Hey, maybe it sounds so wrong to you, but, I'm perfectly know what I'm talking here. yea, i used to be a clingy person, now no longer. I expanded my network of friends. But not the point that I don't feel belong to a gang or community. Maybe I felt so much secured with what I have now, and not to depends so much on anyone, i then learn to be more independant. And not being calculative, Make life much easier.

Get a sleep, tomorrow would be a better day. I suppose, If u start your day with a smile, that's a choice u know, you will see things differently. It's just that heart that matters, how your heart feel things.

Random I know, but i just want to share. :)

Bad Day

Car was scratched. on PURPOSE by some 'uncivilized barbarian' (quote ex-headmaster of my secondary school).

Now it's in the workshop.

Dad's first reaction..

1. Someone Play revenge on me. O_o was back only for a week. Did i bully someone?
2. I didn't park the car properly yesterday. Who are they to teach me a lesson of parking by scratching the car?
3. Someone doesn't like me just because they think girl like me cannot/not afford to drive car like that - Jealousy. MY dad's car. Not mine. Sorry.
4. I looked like a gangster driving the car that someone wants to give me a lesson. I didn't honk at anyone yesterday. Plus.. it's KK. My gangster level is lowered when i'm back here. Not in KL.

WELL, I was so mad. Of course not at dad.

At last, dad says, "it's just some people has itchy hand nothing to do and scratch along."

Itchy backside people (quote Mr Lecturer).

Hope there's no other victim like me.

***

11.26pm

Came back from church concert. Met the same group of friend from yesterday, heard that at least 6 cars were scratched yesterday. D*mn. One of the friend's car got the worst. Scratches and dent, cost her at least 800 bucks to fix it. Uncivilized barbarian!!!

URGH!

To You

Still remember....

lunch at Ikea almost everyday, and tea, and sometimes as well as dinner.....

messy table while cramming notes into my mind....

Lil Notes through white board for MMS...

Chocolates is a must... for burning mid night oil....

Lunch after the first paper.. MacDonalds...

And me... with... tired eyes.....

Meals after Second Paper..... delicious.....

Once, don't know anything but now I know something,
The future is still blur thou we're already half way through,
We cannot jump but to take one step at a time,
Looking back so many steps we've taken, and now here we are,
And once again I was reminded, the strength, the encouragement, the courage that i've had to move on.
Few more steps to go, and I shall not give up.
I know, I am not alone and so are YOU!

7 weeks

This morning, dad woke me up 'Have u got your ticket???'

I want to wake up lazily, told him i'm flying back tomorrow. But i checked the flight, only flight available tonight and no flight tomorrow. okay. fly back tonight then.

Had my lunch downstairs at the mamak. overheard something...

a guy called up his friends to play mahjong. then i heard him telling his girlfriend, sat next to him.

"put 2 packs of whisper in your bag ahh" (whisper? isn't it the brand of the pad. oh, maybe it's something else.

then he explained how whisper bring luck or chase away bad luck. I heard him say open it up and put it dunno where. I'm not good in canton you see.

Then his friend added on, it's better if there's some red colour on top of it. Yucks. Confirm it's ladies' sanitary pad lah.

I was about to go, i stood up and gave them big angry look. I'm daring. I know.

***

After the rush, i arrived KLIA. Went to get reader digest, after i paid. I asked the guy,

"are you celebrating Deepavali?"

Ya, indian doesn't mean he celebrates, maybe he's a singh. Some of the singh doesn't wear turban. (urgh, next time, i'll make sure I see a singh first when we see together addy, cause i really want to smack your head. you gonna get it, thou you've already smacked me twice *BLUEK*.. this is nothing gotta do with singh ya..). i suppose to ask 'do u celebrate deepavali huh, but that guy is quite cute, so, grammar mistake happened.

He said yes, and i said "happy deepavali" and smiled, and walked away....

***

In KFC later, a salesman came and talked to me. don't quite remember the content, but i remembered he said this 3 times in different part of the conversation.

"janganlah marah misss" (don't get mad/angry)

Err.. maybe because i just looked at him one kind when he's explaining and i didn't smile at all. I know i look fierce. A friend always ask, why i look fierce and don't smile and i pay bill to the waiter/waitress.

***

Arrived Labuan, waiting for transit. Went around to look for shop cause it's a duty free place. But, no shop open. :( No alcohol, no perfume. Oh.. the landing was terrible. I go 'WHOA' and someone behind me shouted. I thought maybe the runway in Labuan airport is defect a bit. But i know it's kinda short that the plane took off so fast.

Arrived KK. THe landing was worst than just now. it went jumping 3 times, i don't know how to describe but touched the land first time and it bounced up quite high and touched again for another 2 times and the passengers were cheering or shouting, i don't know. It's all noises. I told the couple next to me, just now was bad too in labuan. then later, the pilot made annoucement, apologize for the bad landing because when we almost touch land, there was big wind blowed from the left side. 0_o. what about the landing at labuan just now.. he didn't apologize, i told the couple. They just giggled all the way, I was stunt because of the bad landing.

Today, i've talked to a few strangers, Mr cabby, The guy at the bookstore, the couple next to me. I think, I'm back. The old daring wild and loud Cynthia is back!!!

So, I'm back home. Less than 24 hours after mom called.

I asked, "So mom, what is it that u asked me to come back in a hurry?"
Mom, "oh, i'm just afraid that you're boring there having break for a week."

0_0

all my plan during the break now cancelled. but glad to be home.

The Break

Well well, after 7 weeks for lectures, we're having our break again. 11 days. I called mom few days before the break start and i heard mom say 'don't... don't come back. you know that the air ticket is so expensive'. Okay, fine.

Then i planned the week so nicely, and it came to be the best planned break i've ever had since i'm in college. The Plan;

Friday, 20th... Went out for badminton with friends and then movie. Okay, i slept in the movie. night, cell group.
Saturday, 21st.. plan to just sleep till the evening and chill.
Sunday, 22nd.. Church having Dedication Service.. meaning.. PARTY
Monday till Tuesday... Class trip to Malacca, which we've got 6th sense telling, we'll stay till wednesday.
Friday, College United Zone of the Church is having party... okay.. party again..
Saturday, David Tao Concert.... meaning.. party again.
Sunday and Monday.. rest at home.

See.. happening huh.....

But.... yesterday around 10pm.. mom called. "can u check the flight, see whether u can get ticket back home?".
